We’re starting to see a growing NFT music scene on Wax between Yoshi Drops, Cait Music, and Kool Keith’s album drop from R2 Collectibles. I think the Lospital Album NFT by 2Mex may be the first hour-long album dropped as a single NFT instead of dropping one track per NFT though. The album drops on August 18 at 12 pm EST on Atomic Hub.
Alejandro Ocano, better known by his stage name 2Mex, is a LA rapper who has collaborated with underground hip hop artists such as Jel, Omid, Thavius Beck, Factor, Radioinactive, and Isaiah “Ikey” Owens. He’s a member of The Visionaries, Of Mexican Descent, Project Blowed, and is affiliated with Shape Shifters.
The album consists of 15 tracks and will be $1 for 48 hours, then will go up to $9.99.
